Supported Formats and Requirements

We currently support the following formats for audio and cover art submissions. Please review the specifications carefully to ensure your files meet the necessary requirements.


Audio (Stereo)

Supported File Types:

  • WAV

  • FLAC

Sample Rates:

  • 44.1 kHz

  • 48 kHz

Bit Depth:

  • 16-bit

  • 24-bit

Note: Support for HD audio files will be added in the future.



Cover Art Specifications

Supported File Types:

  • JPG

  • JPEG

  • PNG

  • JFIF

Size Requirements:

  • Must be square

  • File size must be less than 10 MB

  • Minimum resolution: 1400 x 1400 pixels

  • Recommended resolution: 3000 x 3000 pixels (for optimal quality)

Restrictions for Cover Art

Your cover art must not include:

  • Text other than the release title and/or artist name

  • Web URLs, social media handles, or contact information

  • Sexually explicit images

  • Logos or trademarks without written permission from the trademark holder

  • Audio (Dolby Atmos)

    Apple Dolby Atmos Technical Specs

    • File Type: ADM BWF (.wav)

    • Audio Tracks: All tracks must be 24-bit LPCM audio at 48kHz

    • Creation: A Dolby Atmos track must be created from multitracks or stems created from multitracks.

    • Restrictions:

      • Upmixing from a stereo release is not allowed.

      • Extracting stems (“de-mixing”) from a stereo release is not allowed.

      • A Dolby Atmos track consisting only of a stereo mix placed in the sound field with added ambience or reverb is not allowed.

    • Synchronization: Dolby Atmos files must be conformed and synced with the stereo reference files for the same project.

    TIDAL Dolby Atmos Technical Specs

    • File Type: ADM BWAV (.wav)

    • Sample Rate: Minimum 48 kHz

    • Bit Depth: 24-bit

    • Timecode: Created with a 24fps timecode and provided as an ADM BWAV file.

    • Silence Handling: No additional silence at the start of the deliverable compared to the corresponding stereo deliverable.

    • File End: Must be 0ms from the end of the track, including any fade-out.

    • Render Mode: 48kHz BWAV ADM Binaural Render Mode should be set for all channels.

    • Synchronization: All deliverables should be conformed and synced to the original stereo reference master.

    • Loudness Target:

      • -18 LKFS based on ITU-R BS. 1770-4 recommendations.

      • Peaks should not exceed True Peak: -1dBTP.

    • Binaural Metadata: Present in all ADM output and must be checked before master creation to ensure correctness.
