How to Create a Video Asset and/or Request VEVO Video Delivery
Written By nodable
Before requesting a VEVO upload or creating a YouTube Music Video asset, it is critical that the video also exists in your catalog. If you do not create the corresponding catalog asset, the royalties generated by that video may not match to an asset and could remain unallocated and unpaid.
Create a Video in Your Catalog
Follow these steps to create a video asset in your catalog:
Go to Assets → Videos.
If you do not see a Videos section in your account, please contact Support to have it enabled.Click Create New.
Add your video track metadata.
You have two options:Select an existing audio track to save time and prefill most of the metadata.
Create a new video track and enter all metadata manually.
Required video track fields
At minimum, the video track must include:
Video title
At least one artist
Video ISRC (vISRC)
Fill out the release metadata.
The required fields are:Metadata language
Video title
For basic videos with only one track, the video track title must match the video album title. At least one artist
Intended UPC
Since video assets are used for reporting, you must enter the UPC of the distributed video. If you have not yet distributed the video, contact Support to request a UPC.ISRC
Use the video ISRC for reporting purposes.
Important warning about ISRCs
If you selected an existing audio track in step 3, you must replace its audio ISRC with the correct video ISRC (vISRC). Do not leave the audio ISRC in place. If the wrong ISRC remains attached to the video, royalties may remain unallocated.
Do not enter an audio ISRC in the vISRC field. A video asset must always use the ISRC assigned to the video itself. If you do not have a vISRC, contact Support to request one.

Once the video has been created in your dashboard, you can submit a request for VEVO delivery.

If the artist does not yet have a VEVO channel, request that one be created and include the preferred channel name.
VEVO channel availability
Before requesting a new VEVO channel, check whether the name is available. You can verify this by replacing XXXXX in the following URL with the desired channel name:

If no channel appears, the name is available.
Important note about timing
